 The information and communication
upgradation has revolutionised our lives , industries ,economies and
institution . The growth of technology and technological innovations has
resulted in higher rate of obsolescence in the electronic industry and this has
led to faster growth in generation of waste consisting of electronic equipment
–refrigerator, washing machine, I pods, television .This has increased many
problems like massive increase in the amount of hazardous waste. This poses a
serious threat to modern societies and calls for a coordinated effort to achieve
sustainable development. In a developing country like India, the corporate
sector plays a major role in e-waste generation and it’s management also.

METHODOLOGY:

·        
QUESTIONNAIRE BASED SURVEY  –  A
survey is a process which is used to collect ,analyze and interpret the views
of a group of people from a target population A questionnaire is one of the modes
to conduct a survey, it specifies the layout of the survey. We would conduct a
similar survey to know the extent of awareness amongst people regarding e-waste
management.

ANALYSES OF PREVIOUS YEAR DATA AND MAKING
PREDICTIONS – Previous year data are to be analysed to make future predictions
and inferences . It is a secondary method of conducting research and hence
cheaper and easier. The data might not be reliable completely but would give a
fair view of current scenario.

·        
MARKET SUPPLY METHOD  : The market supply is the total quantity of a good or service all
producers are willing to provide at the given prices during a specific period
of time.  The market supply is the sum of all individual producer
supplies. In the research paper the method will be used to determine the total
e-waste generated by corporate sector.

·        
MATERIAL FLOW ANALYSIS : BASED SYE –WASTE MODEL- MFA
is a structured and systematic  flow
analysis of materials and  waste
management model ,which is elemental to composition of waste and material management
and performance evaluation of recycling facilities and management.

REGRESSION TOOLS: Regression tool is a
statistical method to arrive at conclusions while making a research paper. Statistical methods involved in carrying out a study
includes the step of planning, designing, collecting data, analyzing , applying
the test and  drawing meaningful
interpretation . The results and inferences are precise only if the correct statistical
tests are used. Regression tools are used to determine the relationship between
two variables.

6   CONCLUSION:  The electronics industry is the world’s
largest and fastest growing manufacturing      industry. Policy changes in India have led
to an inflow of leading multinational companies to set up electronics manufacturing
 facilities  . This has helped the Indian economy to grow
faster but has also increased the use of electronic products. The corporate
sector is readily accepting the newer technologies available in the market and
is discarding the older electronic products at a higher rate ,which is leading
to growing piles of e-waste without proper disposal of the same.

The aim of our report is to analyze the various issues
involved in generation and management of e-waste, particularly from the
perspective of the Indian corporate 
sector.

We through a research would try to identify the extent of
efforts made by the corporate sector to minimize the e-waste generation and its
disposal.  Since the e-waste is blend of harmful
plastics and chemicals, improper handling of e-waste is very dangerous. For the
purpose of recycling, India heavily depends on the sector which is quite
unorganized, informal and doesn’t have adequate means to handle the e-waste.
Our research project would do an analysis under such scenario and will
highlight the efforts made by the corporate sector in e-waste management.
