The Huronian, Cryogenian, Andean-Saharan, Karoo ice age, and the current ice age we are in which is called the Quaternary glaciation. The Huronian ice age occured 2.4-2.1 billion years ago. The Cryo happened 720-635 million years ago. Andean-Saharan ice age lasted from 450-420. The Karoo ice age happened 360-260 million years ago. The medieval warming period was a time in history when the average temperature increased. The medieval warming period took place in the northern atlantic region. The period was followed by a cooler period in the northern atlantic region and elsewhere termed the Little Ice Age. the “Little ice Age” was a period in the 14 century and lasted until the mid 19th century, when mountain glaciers occurred and expanded at several locations.
