It is no secret
that empires are always searching to expand their power, specially over
neighboring territories. Its seems that the interaction of China with Japan was
intended to form a relationship between the two. The spread of Chinese ideology
to Japan, had more to do than just presenting gifts, such as bronze mirrors.
Japan contracted many cultural values and materials from the Chinese.
Japan imported a
vast range of concepts, production capabilities, material matter form the
Chinese society. These types of exchanges were elemental in developing
relationships between the rulers of these societies. The Japanese benefited
from what they obtain form China to build their own civilization. These include
religion, art, government structure, writing, among others.
