The Mass Media
I- Analyze the mechanisms used by international economic elites to convince people of the virtues of globalization. In my essay paper I will introduce the global elite class defining their structure and the way this organization functions. The representatives of this powerful social and economic group make serious decisions in a secret context. Apart from the world minority, the global system seems to work on their pre-planned scheme. However this type of system requires a lot of instruments and tools for the governance of the 99per cent of the rest of citizens.
These tools are very well known and form in the global capitalist society a life routine. I specify the Bank institutions and the Mass Media. Both of them have unreachable power to control people, lifestyles, countries and continents. We all heard about the term elite that in general use refers to a selected group of persons with intellectual dots as well as wealthy that adopts powerful and dominated positions my means of premeditated and selected behavior. Our light-speed, globally connected economy has led to the rise of new super-elite that consists, to a notable degree, of first- and second-generation wealth.
Its members are hardworking, highly educated, jet-setting meritocrats who feel they are the deserving winners of a tough, worldwide economic competition-and many of them, as a result, have an ambivalent attitude toward those of us who didn’t succeed so spectacularly. Robert Guest Economist Magazine January 22nd edition, distinguishes between three type of global leaders. In the case of the financial leaders, they are characterized by their wealth power, and the ability to easily influence large numbers of people.
The political leaders are people who generate ideas or popularize the old ones which affect the way the government work and finally the peril of genius who come up with inventions and affect the way the people live. Although the origin of the elitist economic group can be traced to a deep period in history, the most known and discussed origin of the global economic elitism started with the Bilderberg Group that arranges annual meeting with about 140 member, most of them with great influence en power in politics and government , finance, industry, education and social communication.
The meetings have absolutely private and confidential character. Peter Thompson argues that the Bilderberg group is a meeting point for senior executives of the world’s leading multinational corporations and the top national political figures considered together immediate and long term problems. Bilderberg itself is not an executive agency. However, when participants of Bilderberg reach a consensus they have at their disposal powerful transnational and national instruments to achieve what they want to come to pass.
Its design is not always achieved consensus is a reflection of the strength of the competing forces of resistance outside the capitalist ruling class and within. 1 Some of the participants of these private meetings are world important people: the former secretary on NATO, Presidents of National security affairs, Mayor of Brussels , but also academic people: Professors of Economic, Communication Science , International Relations , as well as the heads of the biggest world banks. 2
The strategies used by the economic elites to control and convince the middle-class population of the benefits of the globalization are complex and difficult to define mainly because of the same effect of the globalization: there is not clear delimitation in economical sectors, functions or legal norms. Big world richer corporations, the wondrous inventions of the modern economy like Apple, Microsoft, Facebook apparently improved the lives of middle-class consumers. Consumerism is the key word in the elite economic powers to guarantee their economical, institutional and global powers.
